Our lives are but a tapestry

Memory quilts made with Julius' clothes  designed by Carole Brisbois (check In Stitches With Carole on facebook) For a long time after Julius went home to the Lord, I could not get myself to clear out his side of the closet. Too precious to dump at the Salvation Army or  even to send to far away missions.  So many memories... Julius loved colour as you can tell from the quilts! There was the shirt that he bought in India - bright red silk. We teased him and called it his annual Christmas outfit, told him he would never get lost in a crowd! His favourite pajamas worn on the last night on this earth, white shirts for suit occasions, his Raymonds sports jacket - so dapper looking when he wore it, his soft cozy home Ts that he wore around the house. What if the answer is NO?

In Isaiah 65:24 the Lord says" Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear." At a Jill Briscoe women's event yesterday Jill said something that intrigued me: "D o you have to see a prayer answered to trust God?" She had also said to listen with your heart and God will tell you why you are here this morning. It was a lovely morning, catching up with old friends that I had not seen for over a year. Lots of hugs and tears and promises (on my part) to meet for coffee, when time permits. I thought that was reason why I was there!! But no - there was a bigger reason.
